Cryes of London: Loves, Lives and Laments of England
A concert of sacred and secular vocal works of late Renaissance and Baroque England. The event will showcase music by Tallis, Thomas Tomkins, Gibbons and Purcell and culminate in excerpts from Henry Purcell's semi-opera King Arthur with guest, countertenor Alan Dornak. O Magnum Mysterium: A Festival of Renaissance Lessons and Carols
Come and enjoy the mystical atmosphere of Renaissance carols in historic St. Paul's Memorial Church. O magnum mysterium by Tomas Luis Victoria and Giovanni Gabrieli are the bookends to this moving Christmas tradition. Hodie! A Festival of Renaissance Lessons and Carols: Voyces brings to life works of Renaissance masters juxtaposed with hymns and medieval carols at historic St. Paul's Memorial Church, Staten Island. Music by Sweelinck, Dufay, Victoria and Ravenscroft.
